The first one is better in this case. It's got a more powerful processor, otherwise the features of these two are nearly identical. Sure, the video card on the other can extend itself to have more memory (by sucking up system memory), but a Gigabyte of memory for video is quite plenty.
However, you may want to look at each of the video cards and see how much ON-BOARD memory they have. Laptop video cards normally have something called "Hyper Memory", which means they will suck up System Memory to use for its own purposes, if it needs to. This allows manufacturers to put less memory on a card and keep costs lower. This can be quite detrimental to the performance of a lower-end system, but since these have 3+GB of ram, shouldn't be much of a problem.
In the end, it'll be the more processing power you'll need the most. Go for the first laptop.
