Modem Won't Accept Ethernet Cord?
I have a Scientific Atlanta Webstar Modem, that's white, and no matter WHAT I do, it won't read ethernet. It'll only accept USB, which is a problem, because I need it to read ethernet so I can use my Wii LAN Adapter. I need me some Mario Kart Wii online, so please help me out.
It accepts USB, but it should also accept ethernet, because there is an ethernet port. I am using an ethernet cord, not a phone cord, i used the manual, and followed the instructions, but it still didn't work. It is an DPX100 series.
On the Webstar DPX-100/120, looking at the back of the unit the RJ-45 connector is just below the power connector and just above the Usb Port.
Are you certain that you are trying to use an RJ-45 (CAT5) and not an RJ-11 (Telephone) connector.
You can go to this site and find a copy of the manual
